Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

The word “tithe” comes from the tradition in which people of certain faiths would donate ten percent of their income to their religious institution. Through Habitat for Humanity International’s tithe program, Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia donates a tenth of what we raise in undesignated gifts to support the construction of Habitat for Humanity houses in other countries around the world. Each year Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia determines the countries that will receive our tithe. For 2012, those countries were Bangladesh, Cambodia, Haiti, Malawi, Mongolia, and Sri Lanka.
Habitat for Humanity-North Central Georgia has built over 170 Habitat homes internationally through our tithe since our founding in 1995. In 2010, we received the Malachi 3:10 Award for reaching $500,000 in lifetime tithe support. Habitat North Central Georgia is committed to eliminating poverty housing both at home and abroad.
